Frequently Asked Questions
-
Your first appointment is a chance for us to get to know each other and lay the foundation for your therapy journey. We’ll go over any paperwork, review policies, and answer any questions you may have. I’ll spend time learning about what brings you to therapy, your current challenges, and what you hope to gain from the process. Together, we’ll create a plan tailored to your needs so you leave feeling heard, supported, and with a clear next step.

The length of therapy looks different for everyone—it depends on your unique goals, needs, and circumstances. In our work together, we’ll discuss the frequency that feels both effective and sustainable for you.
Many people begin with weekly sessions to build momentum, and as you start to feel more relief and progress, sessions may be spaced out until you’re ready to confidently end treatment.
For those who prefer to dive deeper in a shorter amount of time, therapy intensives and extended sessions provide a powerful way to do focused work in a condensed timeframe, allowing you to come less often while still making meaningful progress.
-
Sessions are scheduled by appointment only. I typically see clients for individual therapy Tuesday - Friday between 9am-4pm EST. Intensives can be scheduled during the week or on weekends.

No. As a therapist, I do not prescribe medications. If we determine that medication might be a helpful part of your care, I can offer referrals to local or online providers who specialize in this area.

I specialize in trauma-informed approaches, including:
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Traditional talk therapy
Therapy intensives (extended, retreat-style sessions)
These approaches are evidence-based and highly effective for trauma, anxiety, and other life challenges.
-
A therapy intensive is a focused, extended session (or series of sessions) designed to help you make faster progress than traditional weekly therapy. Using ART and EMDR, intensives allow you to deeply process and resolve specific issues in a supportive, retreat-like environment. Many clients describe it as experiencing months of progress in just a few days.
-
Intensives are a great option if you:
Feel stuck in weekly therapy or want faster results
Have a specific issue, memory, or trauma you’d like to address
Are motivated for deep, focused healing
Prefer a retreat-style experience instead of ongoing weekly sessions
We can talk together to decide if an intensive or standard sessions would best support your goals.

I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. Many clients use their out-of-network benefits and submit superbills (detailed receipts) to their insurance for possible reimbursement. I’m happy to provide a superbill for you if your plan offers this option.
