Find calm. Feel whole again.
Therapy for Trauma & Anxiety Online Across IL & NC
Imagine closing your laptop after a session feeling calmer, lighter, and more grounded than you did an hour ago. Instead of carrying the weight of anxiety, trauma, or people-pleasing into yet another day, you leave with practical tools, fresh perspective, and a sense of real relief. Online therapy gives you the chance to heal in a way that fits your life—without leaving the comfort of your own space.
Why Online Therapy Can Work for You
Online therapy makes it easier to get the support you’ve been craving—without adding more stress to your day.
✨ Convenient and accessible – No traffic, no commute, no extra time away from home or work. You just click a link and you’re in session, saving your energy for what matters most—your healing.
✨ Comfortable and private – You get to choose a space where you feel safe, whether that’s your bedroom, office, or cozy corner of your home. Many of my clients love being able to curl up with a blanket and a cup of tea while doing this work.
✨ Just as effective as in-person therapy – Research shows online therapy works just as well, and sometimes clients even feel more open because they’re in their own environment.
✨ Flexible and affirming – Sessions can fit into your busy schedule, whether during the day or evening. This is especially helpful if you’re juggling work, school, caregiving, or just the mental load of being human.
For adults navigating trauma, anxiety, people-pleasing, or the experience of being neurodiverse or LGBTQIA+, online therapy creates a safe, affirming space where you don’t have to mask, explain, or perform. You get to show up exactly as you are—and begin to heal in a way that feels natural and sustainable.
What Sessions Look Like
Standard Sessions (60 minutes)
These weekly one-on-one sessions give us steady time to explore your concerns, build coping strategies, and start processing trauma and anxiety in a manageable way.
Extended Sessions (90 minutes or longer)
When you’re ready to go deeper, extended sessions allow us to use ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) or EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) without feeling rushed. These longer sessions give us the space to process specific memories or patterns in greater depth, so you can experience meaningful relief more quickly.
Tips for a Successful Online Therapy Session
To get the most out of online therapy:
Find a private space where you feel safe and won’t be interrupted.
Use headphones for better sound and added privacy.
Test your tech (Wi-Fi, camera, microphone) before the session.
Bring comfort items (blanket, water, tissues, journal) to keep nearby.
Give yourself a buffer—take a few minutes before and after to breathe, stretch, or reflect.
These small steps help create the same sense of safety and presence you’d have in an office.
