Online Therapy Across North Carolina & Illinois
Virtual Therapy for Anxiety, Trauma, and Real Life Stress
Therapy should be accessible, supportive, and fit into your actual life. Online sessions allow you to get meaningful support from the comfort and privacy of your own space.
You Need Support, But Life Is Already Full
Maybe your schedule is packed. Maybe commuting to an office feels like one more thing you do not have energy for. Maybe privacy, distance, mobility, parenting, or work demands have made therapy feel hard to reach.
Online therapy removes many of those barriers.
You can show up for yourself without fighting traffic, rearranging your whole day, or adding more stress to an already full plate.
For many clients, virtual therapy makes consistency possible, and consistency is where healing happens.
Therapy That Meets You Where You Are
Virtual therapy is not a lesser version of therapy. It can be just as meaningful, connected, and transformative as in-person work.
Through secure online sessions, I help adults navigate:
Anxiety and overthinking.
Trauma and PTSD.
Burnout and chronic stress.
Life transitions.
Relationship patterns.
Childhood emotional neglect.
Healing from emotionally immature parents.
Identity exploration and personal growth.
You do not need to be in the same room to do real work.
My Approach to Virtual Therapy
I offer warm, collaborative therapy that goes beyond surface-level coping skills. Together, we look at what is underneath the stress and help create lasting change.
Depending on your needs, our work may include:
EMDR/ART therapy online when appropriate.
Trauma-informed talk therapy.
Nervous system regulation tools.
Support for perfectionism and people-pleasing.
Neurodivergent-affirming care.
Practical tools for everyday life.

Yes. Research shows that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy for many concerns, including anxiety, trauma, stress, burnout, and relationship challenges. Many clients are surprised by how connected and comfortable virtual sessions can feel.
-
Sessions take place through a secure video platform that protects your privacy and confidentiality. At the time of your appointment, you simply log in from your phone, tablet, or computer and join the session from a private space that feels comfortable to you.
-
You don’t need much to get started, just a private, comfortable space where you can talk freely, a stable internet connection, and a device (preferably a laptop) with a camera and microphone. Headphones can help with privacy and sound quality, but they’re optional. Find a spot where you feel safe and at ease, your couch, a cozy chair, even your car, anywhere that allows you to focus on yourself for the hour.
-
That is incredibly common, especially at first. Most people settle in quickly once the conversation begins. One of the benefits of online therapy is that you get to stay in a familiar environment, which can actually help sessions feel more comfortable and grounded.
-
Privacy is taken seriously on both ends. All of my virtual sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, the same standard used in telehealth across healthcare. Your sessions are encrypted, not recorded, and fully protected under the same confidentiality laws that govern in-person therapy.
On your end, the most important thing is finding a private space, somewhere you can speak freely without being overheard. That might be your home office, your car, or anywhere else that feels right.
-
You can book your free consultation directly through my website. After that, we’ll schedule your first session, and I’ll send a secure link with everything you need to get started.
